Refrigeration plant
In Romania, in the commune of Hălchiu, Brașov County, the first frozen goods warehouse in Europe with Ammonia DX, controlled by vapor quality sensors, is located.
The remarkable results of this system include the following aspects:
- Energy consumption reduction by approximately 43%, saving 383 MWh of energy and 110 tons of CO2.
- Minimization of superheating due to the use of the vapor quality sensor from HB Products.
- Optimization of the evaporator capacity and reduction of pressure loss in the system.
The sensor technology is capable of making direct expansion refrigeration systems more energy-efficient than traditional overfeed systems, while maintaining a lower refrigerant charge.
This technology has recently entered European markets, with Germany, France, and Romania being some of the first countries to adopt it.
